ATDHE.net domain seized by Homeland Security
Everyone's favorite sports website seems to have bitten the proverbial dust.

Figure its a kosher discussion given the site is toast now.

They re-broadcasted Major League Baseball with implied oral consent, not express written consent—or so the legend goes.

Looks like its back up on another domain. Still, apparently it was an EU hosted server(which people didn't think could be seized) but I think Homeland can seize any .com or .net domain, regardless of serving location.

I should print and cut out that HLS badge and wear it around. Don't they have an official crest, or is the whole organization a special agent?

Corporate America is so clueless, it's astounding. People are going to find ways to consume things the way they want.

The US government needs to sit back and correctly pick their fights. This is a country who's debt is rising at over $1,000,000 every 30 seconds yet they continue to drop millions and millions more on silly adventures like this. I admit I have used atdhe but only before Game Centre and have never used it since but really don't see the harm. I get that this is against the law and the USA always has to act tough but just like many other things they should look the other way and spend that money on something better.
Homeland Security....really?!?! The US is a joke when it comes to their justice system and they continue to prove it by going after harmless things like this when they have bigger problems....like paying their bills. The US reminds me of that person on welfare who still has money for cigarettes but can't feed their family.

I wonder how much money they spent for that moment of glory...that lasted all of an hour or so before things were moved over to another server.

I like how this popped up only 10 minutes after the game started....

Throw open your storefronts, discard your locks, lower your firewalls, lay off your employees, and just let people take anything they want. Get with it, Corporate America.

Fools. The new site was easy to find. Seizing a domain does nothing, only makes Homeland Security look silly for trying to shut them down.
I agree that ATDHE is illegal and against the law, but such a futile move by US law enforcement makes them look like idiots.

Pretty funny considering the site doesn't actually stream or host anything.

I know its likely illegal, but I mean, with live streams like this, people are still watching commercials. The sooner broadcasters (and advertisers) get with the technology, there will be much less piracy. (no need to).
