Not sure if this is mentioned elsewhere, but since it's a major north-south route, I figured the notice of the closure may ease things come Monday. Going to be closed, starting today, for approx. a month for utility upgrades.

I'll give the city credit on this one. They've had signs posted for a week on Crowchild and Memorial warning about this.

The warning signs everywhere have always said it would be between 9th and 11th though. It's 6th and 11th??

To add: the exit from eastbound Bow Trail to 10th Avenue SW will also be closed during this time.

I think this is what is backing up Bow Trail terribly - Anyone know why, once you get under crowchild, bow/9th Ave is backed up worse than a fiber free diet?

More people merging onto Bow Trail from Crowchild, as they detour from 14th street.

Best just to put on a smile and grin and bear it. It's going to last a few weeks yet.

11th Ave SW merging onto Crowchild was backed up past 17th St until about 7 pm with everyone having to detour from Crowchild from 14th. FYI, probably won't get any better until 14th is back open.

Ugh. I live in the NW and work on 11th avenue SE. The drive in has been hell the last two days. Actually that's not true, it's been hell for the last couple weeks but that was supposed to get better with warmer weather...

Going to try driving down 14th, getting off early and then doing a zig zag through downtown because Crowchild just isn't working. (really one of the issues seems to be only a single lane merging onto Bow)
