telemarketers" Old timers Hockey game

i fielded a call at the office regarding the Calgary Police Association and the NHL Old-timers Hockey game in March.

What was disturbing was that the telemarketer couldn't answer the standard questions regarding the cost of fund-raising ( percentage) nor the fund-raising goal amount.

Does anyone know if this is a legit fund-raising event?

I'm know that the company that puts this event on is Xentel and have worked with them on a number of similar events with regards to CFL Alumni and the Local Fire Fighters/Police Officer Sofball game. They are a legit and reputable Charity Event organizer. http://www.xentelevents.com/charities.html

I wouldn't expect the telemarketers to know much about the event its self as that's probly the script they were given to call about on that day. (?)

if xentel is that experience I'm surprized they don't know the Alberta fund-raising rules

Xentel will sell your information to other groups, do not deal with them. Since I agreed to send some kids to the circus this summer, I have been inundated with piles of mail and calls almost every night.
