Default 2011 Spring Training Thread.

Pitchers and catchers have reported this morning for spring training.

Big news in the Yankee Universe: CC has dropped 25 pounds, attributes the weight lose to giving up eating Captain Crunch every day.

Apparantly lots. Quote on twitter from one of the Yankee beat writers

"I used to eat that stuff by the box"

Sweet lord, it's that easy huh? Wonder if he's got his waistline down to one belt?

EDIT - Dustin McGowan threw a side session today. Nice to see him back on the bump.

I read something in a Keith Law chat on ESPN that he thought he had heard something that players who lose weight actually struggle for a little while when they get back

I wonder what CaptainCrunch has to say about all this. I thought he was into women.

That would be great news for Yankee haters. They would be down to one legit starting pitcher in Phil Hughes if CC struggles on the mound.

That stadium is going to be their worst nightmare this coming season if C.C. doesn't continue to be strong. Hughes, Burnett, Nova doesn't exactly scream confidence.

It sure doesn't. The wish is that Burnett will get back to form working with the new pitching coach. Still its tough to have confidence with the pitcher who had the worst month in New York Yankees history.

CC also said that he would still consider opting out of that contract after this season, which would be great news for all Yankee haters

Who else is going to pay him the kind of money he is expecting? Its just a negotiating ploy to try and get even more salary.
