Default Cowboys Game Suggestions

I'm heading to Dallas in October to watch a Cowboys game. For anyone who has gone, please share your experience.

We're most likely staying in Uptown. What's the easiest way to get to AT&T Stadium and back?

Tailgating tips?

Any good/bad experiences to share?

Thanks in advance!

It's been 7 or 8 years since I saw a game at AT&T Stadium but it left an impression. That stadium is massive. The jumbotron will blow your mind. Massive. The cheerleaders come as advertised. The tailgating experience was as fun as any NFL stadium I've ever been to. Go early.

We bussed in as a group so I can't really help you with travel tips.

Sign up for Lyft while there. Will get a discount on the first use.

We usually Uber/lyft from downtown and back. Take your time after the game and let the traffic settle.

Yeah its been about 7 years since I've been to that stadium, its amazing. I even got to walk the field, and throw a football around.

If you're staying downtown, there are a bunch of buses that will take you to the stadium if IIRC, ask your hotel about it, they can tell you what's available.

Go early for the tailgating its legendary.

100% agree especially on the stadium.

Btw, are we still doing phrasing?

Getting there easy - bus from resto pub.
Getting out not so easy/cheap.
Uber from stadium(s) like this after events are now a couple hundred bucks, unless you wait a very long time after.

I appreciate everyone's insights.

Katy Trail Ice House looks like a gem, we'll definitely check it out.

Weather is beautiful in October there, good timing.

Agree with the poster who suggested talking to your hotel (or just searching now) for a charter bus to take you to the game and back. Lyft/Uber is fine to get there but an absolute expensive pain to leave when half the crowd is doing the same thing. Those buses have assigned waiting spots so you just walk on and relax.

It used to be kind of a crummy area but it's better now that the new baseball stadium is open with Texas Live.

Traffic will usually be pretty bad around the stadium but once you get on I-30 it clears out.

Had a lot of fun at a place called Truck Yard in Dallas in a really cool area. Outdoor pub decorated to look kind of like an old truck yard with live music and firepits

Echoing what others posted. Easy to get there, hard to get back. Arlington is a long way from Dallas so plan accordingly
