Serial killer Robert Pickton on life support after vicious prison assault

Police in Quebec say convicted B.C. serial killer Robert Pickton is in a medically induced coma and on life support, four days after he was attacked by another inmate in prison.

Sources told Radio-Canada on Tuesday that Pickton, 74, was clinging to life following what Correctional Service Canada (CSC) confirmed was a "major assault" on Sunday at the maximum-security Port-Cartier Institution, about 450 kilometres northeast of Quebec City.

It's incredible how our tax dollars have been used to keep this guy alive for the past 20 years and now there's even more expense for his medical care and life support.

49 women, his only regret was not claiming 1 more victim to make it an even 50.

Too bad there is no hell for him to go to, hopefully he suffered quite a bit during that attack.

I think if my mother was one of the victims, I'd try and find out who assaulted him in prison and make a donation to their commissary account.

I am pretty convinced that he wasn't acting alone either and his brothers were able to get him to take the full blame for it leaving them free this whole time.

Hard to feel bad for the guy, but these internet threads are always silly. He didn’t behave like a human, and was certainly the bottom of the barrel in that regard but I don’t fully get the internet “I wish xxxxxx would happen to him”. Becomes a dual of silly wishes in these threads.

If they were doing it right they would have finished the job. Now we're paying to keep him alive.

The solace you can take here is that he's likely suffering quite a bit being kept alive, if he's conscious at all.

He's in a medically induced coma, so not conscious at all if they are doing it right. It would be nice if he had locked-in syndrome and they didn't know it though.
