Look, it is a well-known fact that Huberdeau will never score a point again. Therefore, Gilbert's goal never happened. That means the game finished 3-3, and as we all observed and expected, the Flames totally failed to show up for OT.
Therefore they lost.
This especially hurts because I personally am paying Huberdeau's entire salary. I've had to sell everything I owned, including my children, who are being used for medical experiments in an Evil Bioweapons Lab in Sherwood Park. The cat died of starvation and I had to eat my own leg for Christmas, and there's another payment due tomorrow.
New Year's dinner will be a problem. Maybe I can eat Huberdeau.

Encouraging win (other than the late goals against). Mangiapane looked so much better back with his line and Huberdeau continued his strong play from last game.
Shoutout to Gilbert for stepping up with his opportunity to play with Andersson, big goal and assist.

Fun game with a bit too much excitement at the end - nice to see the Flames remain composed and get that W. Huberdeau's best game of the year in my opinion. He made several skilled plays, and I don't recall a single poor pass or egregious play at all. In fact, I thought that he showed flashes of brilliance tonight. I hope he is able to build off of this.
Happy New Year everyone

Nice to get the W on NYE! Flames played well up until that fire drill in the last 3.5 minutes. Take the win and move on, hopefully keep the momentum going on the road.
Treat to listen to the game tonight. Been slumming it in London, and after busking all day and night it was sweet to relax back at the hostel with the game on. Kicking off 2024 with a Flames win is pretty freaking sweet. 2023 was easily the worst year of my life. So glad to close that one out. Onward and upward!
