It seems that the Lightning will not be embarassed by the BJs this time. All goals were scored in the second period as the Lightning hang on for the 2-1 victory in regulation time.

Yeah, and that's the team we have to build ourselves to beat. They're the team of the West going forward. Vegas is up there "now", but I don't think they'll have the longevity that Colorado will. The Avs are built to compete for a long, long time (while Vegas has taken shortcuts to compete in the short term).

All the people that make an example of Edmonton as why you don't want high draft picks, really shouldn't ignore on teams like Colorado, Pittsburgh, Washington, Tampa and Chicago who have built juggernaughts with them. Unfortunately that still remains the best way to get the top end forward talent which Calgary lacks.
