Met him years ago at an autograph signing in Ft McMurray. Really nice guy. RIP, Dave.

What a tough SOB he was. Seriously scary. That menacing stare he had is something I'll never forget. Some crazy tilts vs. the Flames back in the day.

I remember wishing a lot of harm on him as a kid. He was a great protector, pretty dirty, but man was he tough. I recently watched some old BOA brawls and the one that comes to mind is where Semenko is manhandling Steve Konroyd, just tuning him, yet he still felt the need to knee him in the head while holding Konroyd's head and torso down.
Tim Hunter and Semenko had some memorable tilts.
Cancer sucks. Sad to see him go.
