Default A Great Disturbance in the Force - Director Irvin Kershner Dies

Quote:
Empire Strikes Back director Irvin Kershner died at his home in Paris after suffering from illness. . . He was 87.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, he lamented that he should have directed one of the Star Wars prequels.

Great director, but directing a prequel probably would have tarnished his reputation more than anything.

Those goddamn things were wrapped in fail.

Was at the helm of the best movie in the original trilogy, the biggest difference was that Irvin actually had dialogue that didn't need to sound forced.

Oh and no midgets in bear costumes.

He did such a great job with empire...
Too bad Luca's influence started screwing up Return and ultimately really screwed up all the prequels.

Did he die on the same day as Leslie Neilson? Oi.

Director of the lesser known Robocop 2. As they say, there is balance in the force.

I hope he requested to be sealed in carbonite upon his death.

That's too bad.

The Empire Strikes Back is my favourite movie of all time.
