Saw the first one before the hype really hit and loved it. Loved the concept and how simple it was. I thought it was pretty effective and the theatre of people agreed with me as I've never seen a group of people act like that in a movie theatre.

Im assuming the sequel will have plenty of the same gags as the first one, but given that I'm sure they have a bigger budget, some lame special effects might sneak their way in.

What made the first one great was the unknown. You didn't know what was just off camera. You didn't know what made that sound downstairs. Nothing is more creepy than the unknown.

The first one gave me night terrors and l will never watch it again. I'll never forget my ex waking me up and whispering "I think someone is in the room"...

I liked the first one, had a few moments in the movie that gave me some chills down my spine. it also helped having the bf in the movie for his jabs and what not on the 'demon'. kind of like real life haha. my gf would say she hears things and i would make jabs at her/and said demon haha.

Sure was. And I say this preferring suspense to outright horror. But this movie just went nowhere and was really stupid.

I was excited about it, turned off all the lights, cranked the sound... and fell asleep.
