What would you do with $50M?

Lotto Max is $50M this week. Draw is Friday. What would you do?

I would hook up my family, friends, etc with some cash. I would probably take all my close people on a vacation.

Then I would purchase a house, a few dream cars, and open my own pub. The pub would be a Flames/Sports bar and would be a business that is there to provide an experience more than just make money. In fact, I'd be happy to just break even on it just to have an ongoing project.

I would hire super hot waitresses and pay them way more than most places but have a 0 tolerence policy for bad service.

Other than that, I would probably begin to invest in real estate and have my pops on the payroll as my financial adviser.

What would you do?

Edit: Oh, and I would probably donate a bunch to charity... like world vision or something that helps unfortunate kids.

I would hire a muscle bound black guy, an insane pilot, a sauve master of disguise a van, silver plated ak-47's and a really cool van.

I would then travel from city to city helping people solve their problems.

Oh and I would do two chicks at the same time on a bed made out of $100.00 bills.

Pay off any and all of my debts.

Invest enough of it that I could live comfortably, outside of any city... kilometres away from any neighbours.

Set friends and family up with something, be it a car, help with their mortgage, etc. Something that will help relieve burden in their lives, if they choose to accept it.

I would build a Scandia in Calgary, with a retractable roof for the outside course.

I would donate some money to the schools I went to. This is something I always have wanted to do, as I enjoyed my experience in my 'formatible' years.

I would also want to buy my own radio station, and movie theatre.

I'd visit a bunch of poor countries and donate money and food right to the people. I'd probably donate about 10 million. 20 million to friends and family and keep the rest just to live a relaxing life. Big house and a lot of beetches.

build a homestead on the land, completely off grid.

ensure financial well being for my family and close friends.

ensure charities of my choice are looked after.

buy no fancy cars or other luxury purchases, just the stuff i need.

Seriously, if I won 50 million. I would set up an educational fund for my nephews (The rest of my siblings don't need money). Send my parents on a 1 year dream trip anywhere they want to go. Pay off the rest of my debt.

Buy a nuclear powerplant and build a device to block out the sun.

Probably lose my mind in hedonism before firing through a downward spiral that alienates me from all the people that ever cared about me, then die, broke, unloved and alone in a puddle of my my own filth. It's going to be awesome.

It's never that simple. Assuming you weren't kidnapped, the police would come after you left and "confiscate" the money.

Every one kinda says this. I remember reading a book called fools gold about lottery winners. They win the lottery and promise to be frugal, charitable, don't get hooked into fancy luxuries.

But a lot of money is a funny thing, it completely corrupts you, beyond the fact that you get every pitiful story that you can hear from friends and family that come out of the woodwork.

Hey that porche doesn't cost much, I have 50 mil, that house doesn't cost much, I can buy it for cash.

Next thing you know, its two years later, you have nothing left and your sleeping on your moms couch in the basement.

I'd send several my foster kids to Uni', water front house in either Deep Cove or Belacarra, maybe West Van, then spend the rest of my life traveling, Cuba, New Orleans, India, an apartment in Venice, at least a year in Spain and Italy.

I'd buy a decent sized house, build a runway on the land, and have a small but potent collection of fast cars and military aircraft.
