Default Getting rid of an icon on my Curve

Proabably a very blonde question, but it is annoying me enough to ask.

I just switched to the BB Curve.

I have all the usual icons along top (email, sms, etc) but there is also one that looks like a globe (or world) with a 2 in front of it.

I think it showed up after I had been web surfing and had trouble with a couple of pages loading.

Any ideas on how to clear this would be greatly appreciated.

It's not your internet browser is it? If not then highlight it, press your Blackberry button again and click hide. If you want to get it back press the Blackberry again on any icon and press show all.

Sorry, maybe icon isn't the right term. It is more of an "indicator" along the top; I can't highlight. But yes, it looks just like a mini version of the browser icon.

I should add, I have already tried clearing the cache and cookies.

Means you have a couple updates for your Apps that you downloaded through Blackberry App World.

If you haven't downloaded any apps through App world, may even be a new version of App World istelf, depending on which version the phone had originally.

Regardless, the notification should be in some message folder...delete that message and you delete the icon.
