Fringe - Season 2
Okay, this show is too good not to have its own thread. The second episode of the season was exceptional, just like the first episode.
The only thing that bothered me about this week's episode was the CN trains running in Pennsylvania.

I thought episode two was a little weak compared to the first one. And I still haven't decided if the CN train was intentional or not. It could be an homage to their filming location. Also, I see American trains here quite often, so maybe there actually are CN cars down there.

I thought Walters hypothesis re: the scorpion DNA was fantastic!, I also thought the discovery of the mutant baby under the family house was ultra creepy, too cool when the cop car dropped into the cavern full of human corpses!
One of the best parts of Season 2 Episode 2:
Peter enters the Lab and says: "How's it going Walter?"
Walter responds: "I have to urinate in 23 minutes and I'll need your help."
.
.
.
.
.....I love Walter!

I was semi happy with the 1st season, its weird this show had taken its time growing on me but the end of last season coupled with these first 2 episodes has finally won me over. Great start to the season.

I can't wait to watch the 2nd season.
The 1st season started good, went bad, and ended awesomely.

Very interesting episode last night; I loved that they explored Broyles' character at a more in-depth level than they've done in the past. Also I loved the idea of soviet fringe science, and I was a bit surprised to see them work with the idea of an extra-terrestrial life form.

Fringe came "back" tonight, with an episode that was supposed to air last season. I won't post more until everyone has seen it, but it was a little weird seeing a certain character again.

Same for me. Thought it sucked the first couple of epsiodes, to be honest, but really like it now.
And...yeah, there are plenty of CN cars down here. Sheesh.

That was stupid. And it was basically a case they already said they encountered back in the first or second episode of the entire series.
I am looking forward to the return tonight, though. Should be fun.

Yeah, I wish they would have had a little forward or footnote that established that this happened earlier in the timeline.
Anyway, glad that they're back at it tonight. The last episode (with the parts of brains extracted from mental patients) was one of the best in the entire series thus far. Especially the footnote with William Bell. I think the series benefits from having an identifiable villain, and it seems that Thomas Newton will be that villain for the rest of the season, as Mr Jones was for the first one.

So, the return episode last night was pretty good. I love the actor that played the Edina Sheriff, he always brings it.
The one thing I greatly enjoy about this show is that it's much more episodic than others. Yeah, there's the whole alternate universe arc, but they also do a good job of coming up with an original and engaging "crime of the week" too.

Insanity!! Great episode, you knew all along that there was going to be that moment with Olivia and Peter, but the payoff was even better than anticipated. The tension and yet trust between Olivia and Walter is a great dynamic. Also loved Olivia's drug-trip dream with the younger version of herself.

I've never seen the show but I may start after seeing this interview and accompanying photos of Anna Torv in Esquire. (NSFWish)
