Default Over the Air HDTV in Calgary - How do I do it?

I'm guessing I need some sort of new fancy rabbit ears from radioshack. But what else? How do the rabbit ears connect to the TV? What channel is CTV? Any info or links would be great!

I'm new to this, but I bought the following antenna here in Calgary, hooked it up and placed it in my attic. I get clear reception for CTV HD, Global HD and decent reception for CBC and some other channels. Hooking it up is as simple as hooking up standard cable television. One end to the antenna, one end to the TV. Assembling the antenna was the most difficult part and even that wasn't too bad.

Use this to determine what channels are close by and what direction you should point the antenna. The antenna picks up UHF stations and possibly some VHF stations.

I'm in the deep southeast so if you're anywhere in the inner city you should be able get some good reception. The HD is awesome cause it's clear, legal and free! Perfect for the Olympics.

Pretty much any outdoor antenna will do, but building your own is apparently pretty easy and may even yield a better signal strength. Make sure your tv has an ATSC tuner otherwise you will have to buy one....and that's no simple task.

I've had HD ota for about 6 months now...I will never buy cable again. Between itunes tv show purchases and the American tv shows on ctvhd and globalhd, I really don't mss it. Well except for the hockey...but there's alway gamecentre for that.
