high gain antennas?

telus is sending me a high gain antenna as i've had some connection issues for my upstairs machine, has anyone ever used one of these dealios before? Pros, cons?

An HGA, will focus the beam to your upstairs machine. If your issues are related to decreased signal strength, you should see an improvement.
