Girl 12, Can't stop sneezing
City TV has been reporting this story for 2 Days now, Everytime I see it I can't help but think of the "Balloon Boy" story.
If this girls ailment is indeed real, then I feel very sorry for her. However, Those "sneezes" don't sound real, It looks (and sounds) to me like the worst fake sneeze I've ever seen. Also, isn't it fact, that it is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open?
just looks and sounds a little fishy to me.

They talked about it on Opie and Anthony, (Sirius 197 - XM 202), this morning.
It was decided she'd be the worst person to share and 8 ball with.

Gotta be fake, you can't sneeze with your eyes open.

To anyone who thinks that the sneezing with your eyes open angle is a good way to discredit this, I suggest you watch more Mythbusters.

That episode just discredited the fact that your head would explode. I don't remember them actually being able to keep their eyes open without using their hands. I could be wrong though.

I'm sure that after 2 weeks of sneezing 10000 times a day your body's reaction to a sneeze would be less violent. Not sure how this draws parallels to balloon boy. CNN didn't spend 9 hours covering it live.

They should though.
CNN: "In your professional opinion, doctor, what do you think is going to happen next?"
Doctor: "I'm willing to be she is going to sneeze again in the next couple of seconds."
CNN: "Let's watch."
Girl: *sneeze*
CNN: "Unbelievable images we're seeing here today."

I can't believe that a 12 year old would be able to keep up something like that with such consistency if they were faking. I used to lie A LOT as a kid and there's no way I would have been able to pull something like that off.
Besides, what would be the point of it? No one's going to make a show about that - it's hard to watch for three minutes.
Poor kid.

I can't watch it because then I'll probably get it. I'm very prone to suggestion - like the commercial for restless leg syndrome. I now have that whenever I think of it and just typing it gave me restless legs. It's awful.

I heard this poor little girl speaking on radio. It was three or four words and a sneeze, repeated over and over and over.
Good thing she's not a few years older. Could you imagine making out with someone who sneezed repeatedly?

Maybe she'd "tense up" every few seconds and it would be a really good date.
Eww too far.

Not sure why they are on a media tour though, seems odd. The only thing I can think is to give more exposure to find a fix for the kid. Seems a bit exploitive just to show her off and get her to answer, "Yeah, this sucks" to anyone who asks.

On O&A they listened to a clip that said this isn't the traditional sneeze and its more of a tick.
