UNIONDALE, N.Y. - The Islanders have reportedly acquired St. Louis forward Petr Cajanek in exchange for rookie forward Brad Boyes.
Several sources out of both organizations have backed up the claim, although the deal still remains to be made official, and is likely pending league approval.
One anonymous source expressed excitement about the deal saying, "Cajanek is an extremely talented player who can also play on our left side giving us a very solid group of top 9 forwards."
The souce then went on to express his disappointment in losing young winger Brad Boyes, who is among the league's rookie leaders in points thus far.
"Brad is going to be a good one in this league very soon... it wasn't fair for us to hold him back on the 4th line however, and we're sure he'll get a much better opportunity to shine in St. Louis."
If the rumour is in fact true, Cajanek will likely spend his time rotating with LWer Andrew Brunette on the second line.
