President's Cup
It starts today!
Go Internationals! (that sounds so dumb)
First to 17.5 points wins.
International
Geoff Ogilvy
Vijay Singh
Camillo Villegas
Retief Goosen
Ernis Els
Angel Cabrera
MIKE WEIR
Robert Allenby
Y.E. Yang
Tim Clark
Adam Scott
Ryo Ishikawa
USA
Tiger Woods
Phil Mickelson
Steve Stricker
Kenny Perry
Zach Johnson
Stewart Cink
Sean O'Hair
Jim Furyk
Anthony Kim
Justin Leonard
Lucas Glover
Hunter Mahan
Americans heavily favoured but I think the Internationals can make it really competitive. All current major winners are in the field with two on each side (Cabrera, Glover, Cink, Yang)
Thursday's Alternate Shot (3pm ET)
Clark/Weir - Kim/Mickelson
Els/Scott - Mahan/O'Hair
Allenby/Singh - Cink/Glover
Cabrera/Villegas - Johnson/Perry
Ishikawa/Ogilvy - Stricker/Woods
Goosen/Yang - Furyk/Leonard

I hope the Internationals can somehow take it. Since its inception in 1994 the US has owned this event 5-1-1.

Yup it's today!
Hope the internationals get a good start.
Last time in Montreal, the Internationals lost 5.5-0.5 on the first day and it was over before it started.

Well the International team getting some early breaks.
They should be down one in each match but some terrible putting from the US has them up one in each.

Weir should really win this match. Kim's playing horrible.

I am conflicted in who to cheer for. I always root for the Americans in the Ryder Cup, but with Mike Weir playing on the International team, I don't know what to do.

Why is Michael Jordan a "team advisor" for team USA?

I know we are supposed to cheer for the international team because techinically Canada is part of it.
But I hate Weir and like Mickelson.
So I say go USA until there is a Canadian golfer worth cheering for.

USA leads 3.5 to 2.5
They really threw away a half a point in the last match. Internationals hanging on by a thread.
Friday's Matches (Better Ball) 2pm ET
Goosen/Scott - Leonard/Mickelson
Els/Weir - Furyk/Kim
Ishikawa/Yang - O'Hair/Perry
Clark/Singh - Cink/Glover
Allenby/Villegas - Johnson/Mahan
Cabrera/Ogilvy - Stricker/Woods

Internationals trying to fight back.
One match pretty much in the bag with Yang/Ishikawa 4up on Perry/O'Hair
The other 5 matches all in the balance about halfway through the round.

I'm in the moon camp now. If Weir wasn't Canadian he'd be one of my least favorite players. Looks so feeble, no guts and guaranteed to choke.
