Who is your favorite TV dad from past or present?
I will have to go with Red Foremen from that '70s show. He instills fear, is sarcastic and funny.

Red Forman is a good choice,
always liked the gruff, but fair, dad from the Wonder Years
and how about Calgary's own...Mr Drummond from Diff'rent Strokes?

Conrad Bain is a Calgarian? I had no idea.....and I have no idea how on earth I know the man's name instantly.
Kurtwood Smith (a real life Wisconsonite) as Wisconsinite Red Forman is some great, great stuff.
I'll divide this up into two sections....
1. Comedic Dad..
I'll go with Red, with Al Bundy a close runner up.
2. TV Dad that could be your dad in real life and be a good one.....
Pa Ingalls from Little House on the Prarie....greatest Dad ever.

Conrad Bain, and his twin brother Bonar Bain of SCTV fame, were born in Lethbridge
However Conrad Bain graduated from Western Canada High School in Calgary...I'm quite sure of that

Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin are solid choices.
I personally have a soft spot for the Simpsons' incarnation of Bill Cosby.
