You are not taking into account the Calgarypuck Phoney Baloney Hockey Season which is about to kick off with riveting Flames game stories.
If Kerry wins the election, the off-topic board will fade into obscurity.
If Bush wins . . . . . "the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air . . . ."

Man there is only so much time we can talk about Nystrom, Chucjo and Boyd.
We need the Flames to hit the ice. I remember one year ago there was so much optimisim, with Sutter as Head Coach for the whole year, The big line from 2002 re-united, Reinprecht and Warrener in the fold, and a revamped Roman Turek.
This year is last year X10.
We need NHL.

No word of a lie, I was actually going to start a thread this morning asking what kind of leftovers everybody scored after Thanksgiving. Maybe a poll on the amount of turkey sammiches piled up in the corporate fridges?
Man, we need hockey. There's only so much I can say about the person above, below, around or inside me.
The person inside me says the OT forum will degrade to a total state of anarchy and be shut down shortly after Max gets banned for insulting Superman, Lanny buys a typewriter and moves into a wood cabin, and Cow runs for Provincial office.

Sometime in November.
I can see the election down south taking it over the edge.
Also I predict calf will make at least 3 more usless but oddly compelling threads.
The person above me will soon fade into obscurity.
But maybe more NEwbie's will compare Fata to Rico then the Flames board will take off for a day or two.

Only 3? Give me a little more credit than that, man! I'm actually surprised you weren't all over that thread. Oh well.
Yea, people will just get frustrated with no hockey and naturally migrate here. I believe at one point in the summer the OT forum was ahead of the main one too, but the WC took it over.

November I think. There are only so many articles on the CBA that can be posted. The US election will push it over the edge. Especially if something like what happened in Florida occurs again.

I said december.
Just the sheer number of posts that need to be made up is something 6000 to pass the main board.
Thats alot of posts to be made up in the next month and a half.
I guess about 20 people post in this board on a regular basis. That is about 300 posts per person in the next month and a half. Divide that by 45, and you get about 6.6 posts per person per day. Thats to equal the total amount in the main board right now. And that is only if no one posts any more in the main board from now till the end of november.

Thought I'd bump this. I was really wrong. It wasn't in November and it looks like there is no end to the CBA article possibilities.

I was thinking about this over the weekend. As long as there is a chance for a shortened season (which is looking to be slimmer than slim) or if both sides are still negotiating then the main forum will still have more posts. So I'd say by the end of March, sometime in April the off topic forum may be getting more posts. I no longer have any faith in a deal being done soon to save the season. There will be some point where both sides leave each other alone for a couple of months or more before they try to save next season. I wouldn't be surprised if that time has begun, but I hope not.
