Favorite/Least Favorite Fast Food

I was having this discussion with some of my buddies today and was wondering CPucks opinion on this:

For me,

Best Burgers: A&W, the seasoning is good.

Best Fries: McD's, I just love 'em

Best Value: Burger King, Good food, not that pricey.


Worst Burgers: Wendy's

Worst Fries: Wendy's

Worst Value: Wendy's


Wildcard: I kind of like Arby's on occasion.

Wendy's Spicy Chicken is the bomb.
Wendy's fries are the best, but only if cooked properly. ALWAYS undercooked. Rotten Ronnies gets the consistency award.

I agree about the A&W. But I disagree about Wendy's - I usually like it.

Mcdonald's = disgusting.

McDonalds is just so good. Everything about it. Value in the sense of their fries and their value meal is cheap.

Wendy's value is better with a meal since you can get a salad or a potatoe.

Edit: McDonald's has decent value as well, I'd say it's a close second to DQ for me.

Best Burger: Harvey's (McD's junior chicken gets an honorable mention.)
Best Fries: KFC (Hon mention to McDicks when they are right out of the fryer and freshly coated in salt / crack. NY Fries is pretty good too)
Best Value: Subway's fi dolla footlong or Taco Del Mar's 2 for 1 platter deal when I can find it
Best non burger: Taco Del Mar's platter or Mongoli Express' bowl of everything. Getting to choose between fries and rings for the same price at Harvey's is awesome. (Hon mention to KFC's twoonie tuesday and Wendy's junior bacon cheeseburger.)

Worst Burger: McD's beef patty. So thin, so cardboard.
Worst Fries: Wendy's. Just blah
Worst Value: Taco Bell. I don't mind their food once in a while, but there isn't much to it.

Favourite breakfast: Egg McMuffin .... I hate McDonald's burgers but I could eat Egg McMuffin's all day.

Best Burger: Teen Burger (A&W)
Best Fries: CrazyFries (Fast Eddies, had it in London, Ontario this week for the first time in 3 years. GF said it looked like someone puked in my fries, mmm.)
Favorite go-to meal: Two cheeseburger combo with coke at Rotten Ronnie’s.

So many choices.

A&W: Normally am there for breakfast. Great Root Beer (as everyone should know). A little on the pricey side for fast food. The sirloin uncle burger really isn't that special. Even their deals on burgers doesn't seem like much of a deal compared to other fast food joints. Not a big fan of the chubby chicken either.

Arby's: 4 for $6 deal. That's usually what I end up getting. Probably the best bang for buck for Fast food out there and the food isn't bad either.

Burger King: Don't really know what to say here. Price is decent, food isn't the best but it's decent, overall, I think it's fairly average.

Dairy Queen: Blizzards are great. Burgers are subpar and they even microwave it. Burgers aren't really "fast" at least not the one I frequent in Ottawa, it takes like 10 minutes to make it. Only reason I go there is because they're the only one who constantly carry the mushroom swiss burger. (I'm a big fan of mushrooms and most other places don't carry burger with mushrooms constantly). Also fairy pricey for fast food and average quality.

Harvey's: While a bit pricey, I really dig the fact that you choose your toppings. The burgers are better than average, I enjoy nice Harvey's meal once in a while. Can't wait til they have the Angus Mushroom melt back. You also can't beat Canadian back bacon.

KFC: I'll give the best gravy and those salad things they have. Greasy chicken is ok once in a while. Fan of the popcorn chicken though. But outside of gravy, salad, popcorn chicken and giant buckets of extra greasy fried chicken, there isn't much else going for KFC.

McDonald's: Supersize me never did anything to me. I still eat McDonald's. While everyone is thinking that their food is so fatty and unhealthy, I am looking at my food and think about how many people are missing out. Just because you eat McD's doesn't mean you're gonna get fat, just exercise and you'll be fine. good enough price and a above average quality, while they may be something like the founder of fast food, I'd put them at above average overall.

Wendy's: Bacon Mushroom melt. Baconator. If you love bacon on your burger without having to pay "extra" for it, that's the place to go. (Even though it cannot beat Harvey's Canadian back bacon). I also like the fact that you can choose your sides. Burger, Chilli and a drink is my usual. The price is a little more expensive than average in my books however.

I don't know if I should do one for sub places (Subway, Mr. Sub or Quiznos) or... well I don't know if you guys count Tim Horton's fast food.
