24 Season 7 - Season so far
Sorry, I know there is a thread out there but the search function couldn't find "24 (too short)" "24 Season 7" or "Jack Bauer" and I went back 10 pages on the Off topic section
Anyways, after the Flames game tonight (barring any long OT), 24 is on again. Has anyone else found it to be super jumpy this season. No plot lasts more than 4 episodes and now that Hodge's situation is over, there is a new "bad guy" or SPOILER: (Tony is bad afterall).
This season has been exciting, but just not consistent or believable anymore.
Anyways, just wanted to vent about that. If the Mods feel that this thread needs to be moved or deleted, I won't mind
P.S. (Kim still annoys me)

It may be over the top but this is the only regular tv show i follow weekly. I wish they would change the format for the next few seasons.
Worst thing from this season is the ugly slut daughter of the president. Soo damn annoying and unbelievable.
PS: At least she didn't get caught in a cougar trap. hehe

Anyone think Kim was going to get caught in a Couger trap on monday? I sighed as she ran off after that guy.
I loved this show....
Season 7? What happened?
I also couldn't find the other 24 thread.
Surprised no comments now that it's over?

Something was missing in Season 7. Possibly originality.
I thought the last episode was great, and it kind of saved it for me. Might bring me back next season. Might not.

I'm not surprised. I watched the whole thing and good grief it was all over the place. Complete with cougar girl returning. Sure they always have a ton of plot twists but this was ridiculous. Saved though by excellent action and this really is the perfect vehicle for Sutherland. But they need to tighten it up next season. Too many weak actors mixed in with the good ones and make the twists a little less dramatic.

Didn't like the ending really, but other than that...was pretty good.
Funny that Tony is still alive and kicking, I am sure this isn't the last of his good guy - bad guy switches.

Had an idea!

I'm in episode 6 or something....and getting pissed off with the decisions the President is making.
Which probably means I like it.

I made some comments and then posted but then I saw Azure post that he (or she) is only on the sixth episode so I hid my text out of respect for not spoiling things. My comments are below if you're interested. Just highlight the white space.
---Start---
I thought this season was pretty good. I didn't like Rene Walker too much but it looks like she's going to go Jack Bauer on that Wilson character. Maybe in the next season they bring back CTU because of the help their "protocols" gave when trying to track down the fake terrorists.
--End---

Spoilers: Highlight to read
When Rene went into the room, I first thought she was going to kill him. Then my mind thought maybe she wants to join him, ala Tony, except not for personal revenge.
I thought this season was quite good, and way better than season 6, but some of the characters got annoying, and I didn't like.
I hated Janis, I hated Rene Walker, the head FBI guy (forget his name) sucked. And the Presidents daughter was annoying, I hate when they use stupid sub-plots in the white house, there so boring, and it is the main reason I stopped watching season 6.
There was plenty of twists this season, but I think they may have overdone it.

I actually liked this season until the end. Spoiler:
right after jack disarmed the canister taken off the fake terrorist I thought it lost it's steam.
I agree that they need to shake something up for season 7. Personally I'd like for them to have one villain. I hate how every damn season there needs to be several hierarchies of villain each with their own 8 episode run. Still one of my favorites though, even after 7 seasons.

I think it was Green Tea Frapp that said in another thread that the finale was meh. I have to agree.
And can i just say that i'm glad the president is basically telling her daughter to F.O. oh and thank you Aaron Pierce. This show would not be 24 without you, Bauer, Chloe and Tony. Just sayin...

My favorite 24 moment was when Jack had to kill that Chappelle guy (few seasons ago). I think the first three seasons were excellent. Hopefully somehow they can recreate that magic though I'm not sure how much of it was because of David Palmer.

Yeah - that was INCREDIBLE! I couldn't believe they did that. Which they need to do more of.

If you plan on watching old seasons of 24 don't read my next paragraph.
Killing Chappelle, Mason with radiation poisoning and jack killing Curtis just before the A-bomb went off are my top 3. God those were intense. Obviously the first season finale was a shocker as well.

That, and Kim's last call to Jack (supposed to) when Jack was going to crash the nuke into the Mojove desert, were 2 of the saddest moments I've seen on TV. Almost (almost) made me want to shed a tear.

No one remembers Edgar's death? That was also one of the most emotional scenes from 24.
This season, other then Jack and Chloe, who was there to really care about? It's the supporting characters that make a season and this year they pretty much sucked.

First off, congrats on beating me to that avatar (I was going to change mine later today).
Secondly, I thought the African guy was pretty cool ... I would have liked it if they would have ran with him for the entire show Habib Marwan style.

I was avoiding this thread until I finally watched the last 2 episodes last night. I agree that this season didn't hold me like past ones did. The only really powerful part for me was when Bill dies.
It'll be interesting to see how they wrap up everything next (and last) season for 24.
Confirm for next year is Jack, Chloe, Kim, Renee, President Taylor, Tony, and that famous Indian actor from Slum dog millionaire (He played the game show host, and will be some type of diplomat on next year 24)
