Default Crazy hail storm in Calgary

In the NW near SAIT and there were easily some golf ball sized hail a stormin' down for a good couple of minutes.

(about 1:45 PM MT)

Looks like it could have hurt some people and caused some damage.

Any other areas of the city get it that bad?

Deep south seems fine, just pouring outside.

I'm in the deep south, its pouring and there's tons of lightning.

We usually give people a half day off to go to the Stampede, poor s who took today.

Varsity had some pretty huge hail also. Tapered off in to rain now though.

I'm in Patterson, and some of the hail was near golf-ball sized. I thought my windows were going to break. Anyone outside getting hit by one of those could be seriously injured.

17th and Sarcee just got owned. Golf ball sized for a good five minutes, it was crazy. Sounded like they were gonna go through the roof.

Golf-ball sized and larger here in Sunnyside. Just passed over, now just raining. Easily the largest I've ever seen in my time in Calgary.

I wonder if there were any injuries... the hail here looked like it would have maybe cut or bruised you pretty good if you got hit...

anyone see any damage to cars?

Figures that I would bring my "fun" car to work today. Luckily I found a covered parking area next to my office. I have an "authorized vehicle" right?

Just crazy out there right now. Wow.

My car was parked outside and I think we got the storm just about full on, but on a quick inspection it looked okay.
