Default 5-10 cm of snow expected today/overnight

Ugh. Close to 5 cm this evening than 1-3 cm overnight. Wasn't it 20 degrees the last two days?! And now I'm on my first day off and just my luck...

Well, today is earth day. Maybe this is the Earth's way of telling us to stop trying to take all the credit for f'd up weather.

2 days.

It has been 2 days since the last vestige of snow finally melted off my front lawn.
Now this.

This band is moving slowly southward and is now starting to move into the Calgary region. The system will pass through the Calgary area depositing a few centimetres of snow. We are not expecting large accumulations in the Calgary region as the ground is warm and we can expect a fair bit of the snow to melt before it accumulates.

However as the system moves further south overnight and temperatures cool off, watch for snowfalls in excess of 10 cm in the Okotoks, Kananaskis and Crowsnest Pass regions. The largest snowfall amounts will be along the foothills where temperatures are cooler and the topography allows for more efficient snow making.

With ground being warm from all this great weather we've had in the last few days i suspect a lot of it will melt. Oh well, pulled a shoulder muscle while golfing - could use a few days rest and rehab.

Just remember, we're not done yet. We haven't reached May and had the yearly May snowstorm.

Farmers almanac says that we're going to get record snow falls next week.

Lol, if that's what you think. I would never move. But anyway, we just had a couple of centimeters of snow last week, it melted and was slush all day, wasn't fun at all.
