Congrats to the Preds for clinching a spot.

With the Hurricanes beating the Flames, they will be the Thrashers 1st round opponent. Should be a good series!

All the Gretzky 1st round matchups are now set:

1. Toronto vs 8. Tampa Bay
2. Atlanta vs 7. Carolina
3. Buffalo vs 6. Florida
4. Washington vs 5. Pittsburgh

For fart sakes this really sucks. Do I release my albatross contracts now because it's 50-50 whether I make the playoffs or not. I have to think I'm going to be the team who loses their spot on the last day as this always happens in our league. Which means I traded for Shanahan and Straka so they could play one fartin' game.

Sim I hate you. Please stumble out drunk in front of a train and get annihilated!

well nobody got hurt, we'll go into the playoffs healthy. we blew a 2-0 lead, but with Dubie in net and our first line watching from the pressbox I guess we'll take it. the third line struggled a bit, so they may face some tinkering prior to game one. The Sabres did eke over the 300 goal barrier, the first team in the Gretzky to hit that plateau

Well we didn't quite back into the playoffs, but making it by a single point wasn't how we were hoping to advance when we were sitting in 4th a month ago. Nonetheless I'm thrilled. Chris Osgood played at 95CD and ONLY allowed 5. Eric Perrin continued his magical season scoring with 2:29 to go and give us the single point. Jim Dowd played a big game tonight and it was enough.

We still wait to see whether it will be the Sharks or Wild for us in the first round.

Canes extinguish the Flames. Flames finish with the worst record in the cphl. Thanks to the commishes for simming every night, great job as usual. Flames season review coming in the next day or so. Good luck to all playoff bound teams.

Congrats Vic, good to see you back in the show. Hopefully Osgood gets a bit of a rest before entering the playoffs.
