Wow! A Stereoshark!
I never realized these would work animated! Who'd have thought all those wasted days killing my eyeballs in 1992 would come in use again!

I see it. It's a shark swimming to the left. You kind of have to look at it cross-eyed to see it.

Actually when you cross your eyes you see an inverted image like a cookie cutter 3D. You want to see an actual 3D shark in space that seems solid and not a hole in the picture.

I can see an inverted shark, but not a floating one.

Weird!
I keep seeing a line of dancing show girls going across the screen.

They work in greyscale as well.
The key is to basically pressing your nose up to the screen and slowly drawing your head back and relaxing your eyes. Don't cross them however, or you will see an inverted image.

Who's gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It's chocolate, it's peppermint, it's delicious!

Whenever I view these things, the objects always go inward instead of outward.
Any optometrists on the board who can help me with this one?

I didn't think those would work that well on a monitor. I am surprised the moving one worked as easily as it did.

I'm shocked that would work animated ... I thought it would be too hard to focus.

Where did you get this monstrosity? I could waste a lot of time on a website with a few of these.

It should look like this BTW. Like a 3D object popping out and swimming. Not a hole or crater or inverted mold.
As for where it came from, it's the Wikipedia article on Autostereogram
I never even realized it would work with normal 2D images and it didn't have to look like a bloody paintball explosion everytime.
This one is the Shark too!
This would make a cool wallpaper if you could integrate your icons somehow.

That reminds me of an encounter I had last week.
I was in the presidents office at an engineering firm and noticed that he had one of those up on the wall. I was shocked and said," I loved those but haven't seen one in 15 years".
I never closed the sale for some reason.

Those are awesome. Thanks. The 3-d chess is really freaky how it just popped into 3-d for me.
