CP at SXSW?

Hey,

So I'm heading down to Austin Texas for SXSW. In particular the Interactive festival on March 7-11th.

I was wondering if

a) there were any CP'ers heading down there that would like to hook-up for some bad tex-mex and bad american beer.

b) any CP'ers are still looking for a place to stay. I've got a hotel room booked and am looking for someone to split the costs. (don't worry it's a two bed suite) It's a downtown suite and I think only 7-8 blocks away. PM me and we'll arrange something.

This is my second time at SXSW, so if anyone is looking for any advice on what do in the wonderful city of Austin, drop me a PM and I can give you some advice.

SXSW is the South By SouthWest music/film/interactive festival in Austin Texas. It's a ten day celebration of new emerging bands, the latest films and everything that has to do with the Interweb and the internet.

It's a pretty large conference and one of the most inspirational events one can attend.

The cold weather really seems to have sharpened everyone's wits and polished up their sense of sarcasm. Good to see ... it makes the board a lot more interesting to read.

It is the southern part of the country....so maybe the banjo song from Deliverance.....

Seriously though, It's all Indie Rock. You will know us by the Trail of the Dead hit it off there and The Strokes and The Polyphonic Spree <sp?> also got huge deals from their showcase gigs. Franz Ferdinand, the Strokes and others have played there before. Iggy Pop, Steve Earle and Henry Rollins have been there just off the top of my head.

As a sidenote the music portion of the conference is the five days following the interactive fest. So the hotel room splitting offer doesn't count.

I'm gonna bump this topic again, because there might be some fresh blood or new cpuckers now heading down to SXSW.
