Default Foul?

I always enjoyed playing basketball growing up, but that never followed to me watching it too much later in life.
I just caught this vid which if the game is played like this on a regular basis, could lead me to becoming a fan again.

Could someone refresh my memory why this is a foul though?

Blown call.

I don't see any foul.

It was all ball, what a play. Terrible call by the ref.

my guess is they called the foul for the body contact... which is the only reason I could see it possibly being a foul.

Man what a brutal play! Almost took the guys head off.

I wonder why this play from a few nights ago was a foul.

Hands aren't the only things that get fouls called. In this case, it's the body on body contact that gets the (very correct) foul call. The Laker player's hip runs into the Atlanta player's shoulder as the Atlanta player is trying to shoot. Obvious call.

If LeBron makes that block theres no call. I guaren-damn-tee.

There was contact but precedent suggests thats a no call. I don't think its obvious one way or another.

Disagree. That's pretty much as textbook a foul call as there can be.

Whether LeBron gets that call is a seperate issue.
