Default Calgary gang fails two murder attempts in 24 hours....On the same guy

A young Calgary man is under police guard at Foothills Hospital after being wounded twice within 24-hours in drive-by shootings in the city' Southwest. The first happened Friday night - he suffered a minor wound and was treated and released from hospital. Less than 24-hours later, he stumbled into a 7-11 store at 39th Avenue and McLeod Trail with a serious wound to the upper torso. Calgary Police Duty Inspector Frank Reuser says the victim is known to them, but for now, refuses to label both incidents attempted gang "hits". The man is refusing to talk with police.

Hilarious. I still feel strongly the police should be offering free shooting practice to all gang members.

Better idea is to round up all the gang members in this city and lock them in the Roundup Centre. Give them all a gun and tell them the last man standing is free to go.

You know what? If he isn't willing to help police, then let him go. Dude obviously wants to die, and I see no reason why the tax payers should be paying to save him from his own stupidity.

What's stupid is your tax dollars are going to pay the Sheriffs to protect this guy in hospital who won't cooperate with police to help them stop whatever is happening.

They need to find a new line of work, obviously they suck at their job.

You know the economy is bad when gangs have to use 2nd rate hitmen.

While I agree with the sentiment, I would hate for another innocent victim to get caught in the crossfire the next time an attempt is made to kill him.

I say keep him under guard just for the protection of everyone else... couldn't care less about him.

Or they could just save everyone's money and shoot him themselves?

Label gang members as local terrorists and treat them accordingly

Well, letting him go to his ultimate demise would be easy, but I'd much rather they keep him and figure out what's going on and then get the gang members, too. No need to have filth like that on the street, and this dude likely isn't the most innocent guy, either. I am sure they're not ONLY concerned with this dude.

What if the attempt takes a police officers life, does that make it ok?

Just to clarify - police don't think this one is gang related. At this point they say its looking more like drugs, but not gang-related.
