Default Where should I go to buy affordable tires?

So my 96 exploder needs new rubber but I don't want to spend a fortune. I don't need anything special, just some basic all-weather deals. I need to replace all 4 and I know some places have specials and stuff.

I do need them installed as well, and I would like to come in under $800 if that's at all reasonable. Over that price and this thing is pretty well a write off.

Suggestions? Thanks dudes!

Costco is pretty good prices for good brands.

I guess Walmart or Canadian Tire for no-name brand stuff.

Anyone try Harper's Tire? I keep seeing them on a billboard by my office but I don't know anyone who has used them. Been a Calgary business since 1931.

Try Rim2Rim in Okotoks if you're looking for a place to purchase and have them installed. The owner has never treated me or anyone else I know poorly, and he's always cheaper than any other place I've quoted.

If cheap yet decent is what you're looking for, the discount Korean brands are probably what you're looking for. Nexen, Kumho and other like that. Urban Expressions should have em, but I know that contemporary motorsports and a few other tuner houses have em too. Just as an example, for my old 2000 accord coupe I got 4 Z rated 17" tires and nice looking alloy rims for $800! That should give you an idea of how cheap the tires were....

Some of the tires like the Kumho ASX get decent ratings too on the Tire Rack survey.

OK Tire sells Kumhos. Mac's sells Hohos, and 3rd Ave has hos.

Are there still street walkers there? I haven't been in that general area in years.

Thanks a lot guys, it sounds like Urban Expressions is a good place to check out so I'm going to call them!

I can always count on CP.
