What a strange place! Two incompetent person formerly Oilers GM Kevin Lowe leaves his GM post but still resurface in the organization and Eskimos Head Coach stepped down to become Director of Footbal Personnel. Who's next Craig McTavish? Maybe he will step down and become Director of Public Relations or something....

I'm a bit surprised. I didn't have much respect for him as a coach, but in general I thought the Esks exceeded expectations this year in being one of the last four teams standing. Wonder if they have somebody else in mind already.

Really somewhat surprised he's going to be allowed to move up ala Lowe and put another layer between himself and being punted. Esks only got in due to ineptitude in the east last year, and hadn't made the playoffs two years in a row and fans up their were screaming for his head.

//Rant Start

The complete farsical musical in Esks land continues.

Lawn gnome has a losing record as a head coach and no home playoff games and he gets promoted. And will likely take over as CEO in a few years time as the current one is 60 years old.

Its been a terrible couple of years to be an Esks fan.

Barely win the Grey Cup, the only reason they were even there was Moss basically threatening everyone to quit playing like crap just becasue they have a joke of a head coach - and what do they do to the should be captain of the Esks - they ship him off to Hamilton in a wink wink nudge nidge trade.

In a league where the Quaterback is by far the most important position, to have the best one in the leage and not have a home playoff game in 5 years and only 1 Grey Cup win and no other playoff wins other than the Grey cup year is a complete joke.

Also the complete nepetism of having Campbell's kid as the Defensive Coordinator when he couldnt coordinate getting from Jasper ave to Whyte ave on a weekend has also been the continuing running bad joke.

To think before I moved down here I had season tickets for 5 years and I actually enjoyed watching games - the Neelon era was rough mind you but nothing like this. Since then I maybe make it up for 2 or 3 home games a year and its been really tough.

I am hoping they can lure away Greg Marshall from Ontario to isntall some balls back to the team after they have been castrated the last while. That or maybe go to US College ranks. The team with by far the largest revenue stream should have no problem getting a quality coach.

//Rant End.

I LOVE the soap opera in Edmonton! I hope they pick the worst possible candidate AGAIN and drop back in the standings for another 5 years! Maybe we can start some type of email campaign to the Eskies to hire some farcial Coach? Who could that be?
