Well in a deal that took all of 2 minutes to negotiate, maybe less, the Ducks and Avalanche have swapped wingers.

To the Ducks:
Marco Sturm

To the Avs:
Chris Drury
Cody McCormick

Well Drury simply wasn't doing well here, he was a -7 on the team and had barely contributed at all despite seeing a lot of time on the #1pp and #2EV unit and some PK time. Sturm, while is OV is 2 less, has solid ratings across the board including a 70+ in DF and SC. He is also signed next year which helps since we have so many other guys we need to worry about signing.

Mccormick was just a mid 60OV player that Colorado wanted to use as some depth if they needed help.

Sometimes shakin' up the SIM chemistry is just what is needed for a team, so hopefully this can work out well for both sides.

This was purely a shake-up move for the Avs. We get a slightly better OV rating but lose a year under contract and take on a few years age-wise. Neither guy is lighting it up in the NHL this season. We'll see if Drury can add a spark in Denver. (Or Sturm in Anaheim for that matter).
