Default Arkansas Democractic Party Chairman Shot And Killed

One shot at Arkansas Democratic Party headquarters

Quote:
(CNN) -- One person was shot Wednesday at the Little Rock headquarters of the Arkansas Democratic Party, police said.

The shooter, described as a white male, came into the headquarters before noon and asked for Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman Bill Gwatney before firing three shots, CNN affiliate KATV reported.

Little Rock police would not confirm or deny whether Gwatney was shot.

CNN affiliate KTHV reported that a witness working in a nearby shop said Gwatney's assistant ran into the shop and asked her to call 911 because the chairman had been shot.
Wow... hope he is okay. Strange choice of target for the shooter, although his motive is unknown.

I thing CP silence is due to the fact that it was the

Arkansas Democractic Party Chairman Shot And Killed

And not someone of any importance to the Calgary Flames fan community. No offence but IMO its kind of a waste of a thread, unless of course you think it was the Republicans who orchestrated this with second shooter behind the grassy nole.

I guess we are ignoring the fact that this community is huge and includes many people from the US... plus the fact that this is going to be top news... plus the fact that among the other threads on the front page we have:

Bob Saget losing his mind, a man almost losing his penis, Big Brother 10, and a thread about a fake article about fake gold medals.

Anyway, I'll let this drop off... thought this would be bigger news here than it seems to be.

As an aside, I didn't much appreciate the attitude there MYK. A little unnecessary.

Well, its probably not big news because he's in a 'state' position, and not federal, and secondly, there isn't any humor involved, nor does it have anything to do with the election.

RIP though.

Kind of hard to say anything about something like this. Sad story.

What attitude? A question was posed as to why this didnt garner more attention. Its a simple answer. It would be like me posting some kid getting killed in Nicaragua. I am sure we have some posters from Nicaragua but I wouldnt have expected or attempted to demean those posters who didnt think the issue wasnt important to them which what was implied in the thread.

I took offense to it and replied, if you dont like it so be it.
