I'm counting on Cloverfield to be everything I Am Legend wished it was but wasn't.
Saw the trailer for Strange Wilderness on TV the other night and laughed my ass off at it. I think that's the first time I have laughed at a movie TV spot.

I second all of those and add Star Trek and the Incredible Hulk to the mix. It's going to be an expensive year at the theatres.

City of Ember with Bill Murray will be, IMO, the most underrated show of the year. Look for this one to be a sleeper hit.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, [2] Mike Myers discussed the possibility of studio sources moving forward with a fourth Austin Powers film. "There is hope!" says Myers of the latter. "We're all circling and talking to each other. I miss doing the characters." In an interview with IGN (May 16, 2007), [3] IGN asked, "So no more Austin Powers?" and Myers said, "No, no, there is a fully conceived idea for a fourth and I can just say that it's from Dr. Evil's point of view. So if you balanced how much of it was Austin with Dr. Evil, it's more about Dr. Evil than Austin." It has also been rumored that Jennifer Lopez or Rachel Stevens will be starring along side Myers in the fourth movie. It is also unknown if Jay Roach will return as director of the fourth film.
In May 2007, at the Shrek the Third premiere, Mike Myers announced that a fourth Austin Powers film is planned but that it would focus more on Dr. Evil than Austin himself. He also said that he'd be starting work on it when he starts work on another film project The Love Guru, this August.[4]
It was recently confirmed on a daytime TV show in the UK[citation needed] that Austin Powers would not be against Dr. Evil (because of the events at the end of the previous film) but would in fact be co-operating with him against a brand new nemesis codenamed 'Neversoft'.

Since Sly is all over doing sequels to his movies, I nominate Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot for his next project, pretty sure the old lady from Golden Girls is still kicking.

LOL! Yeah, Estelle Getty is a spry 84 years old, I'm sure she'd be game.
And now it's not as funny as I've read some more and discovered she has Parkinson's and dementia.
Oh well, the original post was still humourous.

IMO I Am Legend wouldve been so much better(or at least not as hokey-looking) if they wouldve kept with the original idea and not made the infected people CGI. They just looked so phony, and like super-villians. They looked like Imhotep from The Mummy or something, I couldnt get past it. I really enjoyed the concept of the movie and thought Will Smith did an outstanding job, but the CGI people really ruined it for me.

Austin Powers 4? Ace Ventura 3??
My heart wants them to be good, but my brain says these franchises have jumped the shark.
My must-sees for the year:
Cloverfield
Get Smart
The Dark Knight
Bond 22
Star Trek XI
Though I might get suckered into Austin Powers 4.
Edit: Not Ace 3... it looks like total garbage with a nobody cast and a dumb plot.

Jumper.
Very cool, I was in Toronto a couple years ago and my Uncle runs a propshop there and he was working on all the props in that movie.
He made all those cool baton-whips for that movie. Really cool stuff. I was playing with the one that pops out of the briefcase when I was there.
