Deal Breaker
What would be the one thing that would make you end your relationship with your girl/boyfriend or husband/wife? Cheating, lying, cross-dressing, not taking out the garbage...? Discuss.

Cheating, it's probably the worst feeling in the world to have been cheated on, at least that how I felt when I was cheated on. Also a chick getting a cat is just inexcusable!

Physically cheating or online-chat cheating? Is one worse than the other or are both equally bad?

A buddy of mine recently started dating a girl he met on the web. They met up, got along, and she was really cute.
"The deal breaker," he said to me, "was when I went back to her apartment with her and noticed all the Elron Hubbard material on her walls and bookshelves."
I'd echo that. Scientology/cult membership in general would end it for me.
Exception made, of course, for bi-sexual model cults.

Cheating definitely... in almost any form.
And any sort of abuse too... physical and/or emotional.

Consistent dishonesty and not willing to communicate. Have either of those traits and I'm outta there.

I second that. Communication is huge and if you aren't willing to include me in some part of your life and share then what is the point in being exclusive with me?

I think your friend is underrating the obvious advantages of having an exceedingly gullible girlfriend....

Cheating(dishonesty), and gold digging. I've met someone like that before. Glad I never got involved any deeper.

I'm not a fan of exs. Whether its too much hanging around or too much talking about the person. The talking part can be either trashing the person or praising the person, either way I don't want to hear it. Hanging around is fine in moderate doses (it's a good sign that the person is not a psychopath), but there is a limit.

I think I have reached my deal breaker with my current. She is seperated from her husband who has custody of her kids and uses them against her all the time. He is always sending her song dedications on FB and keeps trying to get her back through her kids. She hates his guts but she goes and stays at her mom's which is 2 hours away every other weekend cause he just lives down the street and I am never included. She also spends most of the day talking and fihting with him online and we bicker a lot about it. I love her and she is close with my son but we have only been together for 3 months, I think it's time to get out. Too bad cause she is a great girl but she is constantly messed up about being away from her kids and miserable from fighting with him everyday online and it is affecting my own life very very much. Tough situation.
