Pick your Book - CP Book Club
Ok, the nominations are in, so now comes the voting. Please vote for ONE book from the following list by posting (in this thread) your choice. You have until next Friday morning to make your picks.
You can click on the link in the book title to learn more about the book.
#1: The Road: Cormac McCarthy
#2: Last Season: Roy McGregor
#3: The Cunning Man: Robertson Davies
#4: The Poisonwood Bible: Barbara Kingsolver
I will be abstaining from voting unless there is a tie, in which case I will ask the cat what he thinks and go with that. So unless you want to be outweighed in your exercise of democratic rights by a mere feline, get your votes in before next weekend!

I'm going to vote for The Road too, even though I've got two other Cormac books on my pile of things to read (Blood Meridian and Cities of the West).

Pah! In my day we didn't have any fancy-schmancy "features" for "polling", we wrote on tree bark using pointy sticks dipped in the blood of our fallen enemies - LIKE GOD INTENDED!!!!!!
Just be thankful I've mellowed in my old age, or you'd be out in the backyard with a stroppin' knife right now, picking out a branch you could whittle down into a proper pollin' device. Or, alternatively, acting as "ink" for someone who was a little quicker off the mark.

You merely have to show up at the next meeting, once we vote on when and where that will be.
