I know there is an audition thread but it's over 2 months old so I thought I'd start a new one.
I admit it, I like watching the show, it's a lot of fun and some of the performers are actually really good. Whether they release good music is an entirely different debate.
Anyway, tonight one of the competitors, David Cook, did a cover of billie jean. Before everyone goes bananas, yes, at the beginning they introduce it as "Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean" so I understand it is not an original arrangement.
Having listened the Chris Cornell version and this one, I have to say I like this one more, and that says a lot as I've always been a fan of Soundgarden and Audioslave, the performance was absolutely brilliant. Fast forward about a minute in.
Can you get youtube clips of those performances from this year where they played instruments? That is really what I'm interested in this year, singers who can also play.
