I don't have a space for rent, but what part of downtown are you looking at and about how much per month? When I was looking for a spot in the summer I drove around downtown taking note of the apartments and then called them. Failing that if you car pool you can get into a city lot basically right away.
You can get monthly passes at the lot on 11th and 1st se for 270.00 /month
You can but the crappy parking company (ideal) oversells that parking lot and if you aren't in the lot by 8-8:30 you're screwed. I have no idea how they can get away with renting out unreserved spots and allowing pay-parking to still happen.

That's totally true, but 9-9:30 is the time.. I show up everyday at 8:30 and the place is only half full.
