Lost Season 4 Trailer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irEAuBdhRN0
New season begins Jan.31, Looks like the new season is going to pick up where the last one left off in terms of awesomeness. Should be an interesting first few episodes to say the least.
Also, they've changed the time slot back to Thursday at 9/8 central. Pretty happy about that.

Not happy about the Thursday news. Thursday is the only good TV day right now with the Office, Earl, 30 Rock, and Scrubs. I guess ABC was getting kicked in the ratings and needed to compete. I perfered when they were on a different day, then there were two good tv days.

Are they still going to do the planned 16 episodes seasons, despite the writers strike?

If I still haven't watched the last 3 or 4 episodes of season 3; is it still safe for me to watch the trailer?

They moved it to Thursday night becasue none of those shows are on becuase of the writer's strike.
This season looks DAMN good. I'm excited.

I could be wrong, but i could have sworn that i read somewhere that it will only be an 8 episode season, or maybe that they only have 8 episodes written before the strike.
January 31st is now certainly a date i am going to mark on my calender. Very excited for this!

I'm still telling you. The last episode will feature Victoria Principle waking up with at start, stumbling to the shower and pulling the door open to reveal . . . PAtrick Duffy who assures us that the whole plane crash thing was just a dream.
Then Stewie from family guy trudges into the scene, screams "Vile Woman" and disintigrates her with a death ray.
Thats how I'd write it.

In fact, you probably could have missed the entire season with the exception of the final 2 episodes and been fine.
For the most part, last season was all about killing time until the final couple shows.

I guess I'll never understand TV network logic.
"NBC has an AWESEOME lineup on Thursday nights. Instead of claiming a night to our own (i.e. Wednesday), let's cut our viewership in half!"

Movie studios do their biggest buying on Thursdays trying to entice the weekend movie crowd. So that is the night where traditionally the biggest ad revenues exist. Even if they don't "win" the night as long as they don't totally flop they can get some solid ad revenue.

You'd be guessing wrong considering Lost will be replacing the third highest rated show on tv, Grey's Anatomy, in the ABC lineup.

From what I've read we'd be better off waiting until next year to watch season 4.
Basically it was planned as a 16 episode season and they had to cut it down to 8 because of the writer's strike. However, those 8 were simply the only ones filmed at the time. So basically they're just stopping the season at a random point. I'm sure they'll do their best with editting to make it similar to a fall finale, but we all know that those just aren't the same as a season finale (and that's especially true for a show like Lost).
All that being said I'll definitely be tuning in on the 31st.

I have watched bits and pieces of that show over the years, I plan to watch the last season.
One thing I couldn't stand about it was that nothing ever happens in an episode, so I just read a summary online with lots of spoilers and will now be up to pace for the last episodes.
Good show though.

I'm really looking forward to it being back but I hope the writer's strike ends soon so we can get a whole season!

Ah, so even if they have the viewership, if the ad revenue is double, it all works out.
