Heineken Draught Keg
I'm sure most of you have seen the commercials for these... apparently it tastes just like it came fresh from a tap.
Unfortunately, they only seem to be available in the US, BC and Ontario. Of course, this doesn't mean that some liquor stores in Alberta might have some kicking around... or one would hope
So, I'm putting it to the CP community...have any of you seen these around Calgary or area, and if you've tried it, are they worth the effort of pursuing?

Those are very popular in Australia. They missed the whole Bubba phenomenon here so Aussies think it is the best innovation since sliced bread.

Umm well Im pretty sure these came before the bubba's. We drank a bunch of them over in europe and the UK a few years ago. These ones are way better though, because since they have a hose like a real keg, you can still do keg stands!

I can't drink Heineken usually, but I could stomach one glass from the draught keg. It was almost ice cold though. So, in my opinion, it's better then bottled.

I don't live in Calgary (lethbridge) I've seen these at the liquor store by the Uni.
So it sounds as if these are everywhere in calgary, or should I make the safe bet and pick one up here before I head home for the holidays? I'm the type that if it isnt in the store, I would just buy something different.

If its not a big deal, take the risk... they sure weren't around a week ago... but they seem to be now.
If you have your heart set on tapping a 5L mini-keg... then you may as well take the safe bet and buy it now. That's what I did.

i still have my Bubba keg as a trophy. polished that bad boy off all by myself in one night at my cousin's wedding. that's still my record alcohol intake without getting sick, but the next morning i'm pretty sure the bathroom could have been declared a biohazard

The keg is more expensive than a 15 pack for less beer in BC

Unlike the bubbas, and the Warsteiner/DAB mini kegs floating around, these ones have a CO2 cannister in them to help the beer taste as it does when it comes from a tap.
