Like right inside the field where you type? Or in the same general area?
I don't think we have code to put ads there.

yes, in the field where you type
you cant delete it, and then start typing, you have to refresh or reload the page to get it to normal
its wierd.

Lol whaaat?
That's bizarre.. If you ever get that again, right click on the page, choose "view source", and send that to me. Maybe save it as a txt file and zip it and email it to boardadmin@calgarypuck.com

Ok took a look, and there's no ad code anywhere in that HTML that isn't from the top or side banner ad.. so there must be some kind of code injection going on on your side.
So you might need to do the spyware check thing, from that HTML I can't see anything that doesn't exist on a normal page, and nothing that would instruct an ad to show up there.

Looking at his system tray, it seems he's running AVG. That has an anti-spyware component, no? In addition to that, I can't see spyware injecting Google Ads... it would be one of their own ads they'd inject.
Unless of course, they are injecting their own ads and just masking them inside a Google Ads shell to make it look legit...
Hmmm.
Edit: Having said all of that - and without knowing which language this site [I'm assuming php/perl] is coded in - the only way to get something like that to appear inside a memo field is by inserting the code directly into the Value property... which would very clearly show up in the source code... so I'm at a loss as to how it was done, too.)

Yeah since it doesn't show in the page source at all, it must be injected into the page after, so it'd be done at the browser level.

did scans at the time, virus 2x spyware and registry cleaning - nothing
also, sometimes, when i go to post, reply to a post, reply to a pm, or edit a post, i cant see the text, all it is is a box, an image placeholder that shows like it takes forever to load, and never does.
that is what i sent you photon, i havent had the other one come up yet...

What virus and spyware software? Spyware Terminator or a trial version of Webroot Spy Sweeper might be worth a try, or a trial version of Kaspersky or NOD32 for antivirus. Even the best software sometimes doesn't catch all of it.

Yeah, Adaware has fallen off in it's effectiveness I think. Give one of the other ones I mentioned a try, I use Spyware Terminator at home at the moment.
