Question re: Spam

ok, my spam isn't that bad, infact all my hotmail folder gets is

TodayLSVal
PrmoDaly
TodaysFYI

and stuff like that

however, even when I unsubscribe, block, or send to junkmail folder, they still keep coming into my inbox. While the first part of the e-mail address is always the same, the @whateverpart is different.

ie:

Nov 20 - TodaysFYI@abcd.com
Nov 21 - TodaysFYI@asdf.com
Nov 22 - TodaysFYI@lkjh.com
Nov 23 - TodaysFYI@qwerty.com
Nov 24 - TodaysFYI@poiu.com

it's always some random letters, and the mail server is different.

Is there a way I can just block using the first part of the e-mail address? For example block all incoming messages from TodaysFYI@*.* ?

Oh man, never reply to junkmail! That's how they know the address is active. As for what to do...who knows. They do that for a reason.

For hotmail, I just set it so that I blacklist (mark as spam) everything that comes to my hotmail account, that isn't someone I know.

Periodically I then check my junk mail folder, to see if anything got set as spam. If so, I tell hotmail to send email from that person to my inbox.

Bit of a pain to setup at first, but once it is done, works very nicely.
