Normal doc first, see what they say, they might recommend a specialist if it's serious.

Your normal doc. If need be, he'll refer you to a specialist.
Prepare yourself for quit having "personal time" jokes.

Is said palm on that arm hairier then the one on the other side.
Maybe you should go on a date with another person metaphorically speaking.

			or switch hands?
Sorry, couldn't help it.

I'd go to your family doctor and get him to get you into a specialist. I've been "typing" (more like trying to crush the keys) in my various jobs for the last 17 years and my right wrist is brutal. I left it way too long.

The direction of some threads around here is way too predictable. Come on people ... Steve is having a medical problem here. Besides ... I'm sure he's already thought of switching hands.

Family doctor if you have one. Going to a walk in clinic is going to do as much good as starting up a thread about wrist pain on CP, and not expecting wanking jokes. In all seriousness, when I've seen my family doctor, I've felt like they actually knew what they were talking about, yet when I've gone to a walk in clinic, they just give me anti-biotics. Seems like its the answer to everything with them.
If you don't have one, and you're still slightly young, I would talk to your parents, or maybe find out if your friends have one that my be interested in a one-off appointment.

Its like a slow hanging curveball......Just waiting for someone to hit it out of the park...

On a more serious note, do you do a lot of typing, intricate work with your hands.

Carpal Tunnel maybe ??????

Normal doctor first...From there you can get a referral if needed to a specialist.

Good Luck.

actually, my comment was a joke, and a suggestion.
It sounds like you have soft tissue damage. Unfortunate thing with that is its a real pain in the ass to heal up. It needs to be kept stationary and confined to heal properly.

I'd avoid Walk-Ins like the plague. They are incompetent 95% of the time, and got their degree in Belize or Pakistan or Downtown Basement Medical College on E. Hastings or somewhere dodgy...

most likely not Carpal Tunnel.. Carpal Tunnel after much research has been determined to be a genetic defect so not many people will get it.

			I'm not quite sure I understand your question properly;
Why wouldnt you go see your "normal" doctor? You can't see a specialist without a referal from a GP anyways, nor should you until you've had the appropriate first line investigations from a GP.

....and does that equate to not having a GP?
I'd love to give you the proper advice here, but I still don't see what the problem is here.
