Default Jarome Iginla isn't himself these days...

... at least not on Facebook.

I believe this has come up in the past, but here we have the man himself setting the record straight.

Just as a side note, anyone else getting dis-interested with Facebook these days?

I find it's really not all that exciting anymore. I was one of the very first people to use it in 2005, and I find myself on it less and less. Maybe because there's too many people on it now, and the fact that there's so many ridiculous applications and people that I just didn't care to get re-acquainted with on there. I think I'm going to just delete my account, and get reacquainted with people I know just by randomly running into them on the street. It's more fun that way.

Oh and in case you're wondering, when I'm not using it to pose as Jarome Iginla, I'm just checking FB to see who poked me so that I may or may not poke them back. Larf.

It's not Huselius either. Sunil asked him after the game a few weeks back and he said no. The funny thing about Huselius' page is that it has pictures up from his "rape trial" along with Tallinder and Lilja. Why the hell would he put those up if it were the real him? Never made sense to me. I wrote on Huselius' fake page that it isn't really him and that Sunil asked him and he said it's not him.

I'm the same way as you bud. When I joined up your email had to match those of the selected colleges. I had to wait two weeks before my college in Chicago was on the list. Now anyone can sign up. I get annoying application invites everyday and whatnot.
Alas, I need to stay on it due to the fact I have lived in Chicago, Seattle and Calgary, so its an awesome way to stay in touch with my friends without having to spend money on long distance.

Oh yeah, and as for Jarome Iginla's fake account...I was wondering why he never showed up for our date

What's even more hilarious is when people on Facebook actually save these fake players as friends! LOL! As if they really know the players personally!

Yeah, I joined less than a year ago and I'm already feeling done with it. It started with all those applications. Too many requests and profile pages can be a complete mess now. And also, I despise that 'Top Friends' application. It used to be a mature site, now it's for the kids

Facebook is losing it's stuff with all the dumb applications. It use to be so straightforward and simple, and now too much childish features around the place make it feel not what it used to be, mature.

So? Nobody really used it until 2005. I signed up pretty much by accident as one of the first people in my faculty at the U of C at that time, and NOBODY was on.

haha, yeah I would never trust any celebrity to be real on FB.
Funny thing. One of my friends (a girl) has "iginla" as a friend on FB. anyways, she tried to request that they were in a relationship together. haha he denied it, but the funny thing is, was that he was listed as signle before that!

exactly, infact thats one of things I liked about it at first was the older crowd (ie University and College kids). But when a 13 year old you kinda know tries to add you and then some 40 something that used to teach you in high school tries to add you, its lost something.

I'm with you guys on this one... Facebook was so much better when it was restricted to Post Secondary students only... now that its opened up to everyone... I just totally lost interest in it.

I've put everyone on limited profiles, and I don't post or write messages anymore unless someone messages me first.

I've also had bad experiences dating from Facebook, although I can't say I wouldn't do it again lol....
