Well that's probably our best game in a long time. Milan Michalek with the hat trick and Simon Gagne also really out to prove he wants to stay in Minny.

Lots of tired players and what not though - need to get through tomorrow's game and then rest.

Man we need days off bad! Goalies have been tired for a few games as well as other key players. Hard earned point vs the Ducks today. We will take the point and move on to tomorrow's game vs........the Jets.....surprise surprise.

Well not really a surprise. Our team is down a few too many players due to injury and it's not like we had any depth to start with. Have to figure out how to survive tommorrow and get a day of rest. Right now we have 4 of our top 5 defence below top fitness level and we're really trying to hold on. Stephen Weiss continues to blow goals. I guess he nailed the Sim's daughter and than posted the video of it on YouTube or something like that. Because that nasty broad has it out for him big time this year.

Sorry for the trouble with our lines today. Trying to get the GM editor to work this morning was a task.

Oh, and at least we got a point.

Sens get a point in a tie with the Panthers.

Schaefer got his first start of the year and does a pretty good job.

A game we thought we would lose.... and we dont..

Must say so far these Sens are really suprising me..

Yelle injured for 3 months..... bloody hell, I don't mind injuries but gone till the end of January is ridicules. He's the guy I have fun with

I can see injuries getting out of hand for sure, won't take long a few of these to add up throughout the league. (already two)

I knew I should have bought that hyper healing chamber

Leafs beat B's at home, 3-1.

Another solid performance out of Lundqvist as he stops 34 of 35 for the victory.

And the second line keeps performaning. They were a +2 tonight. Hinote scored his 4th of the year and Carle netted his first.

Leafs got outshot by 11 and took 5 penalties as opposed to Boston's 2 infractions. So we were pretty lucky to grind out a 3-1 win.

The Leafs will travel to Boston to complete the home and home tommorow.

We won! We won! The Hawks showed they wanted to play for me by outshooting the Preds by 10 shots and coming back from a 2-0 deficit! FOPA had 3 points as he put the team on his back to take the victory. Linemate Cheechoo also had 3 assists to help out!

Not a great preformance for the Predators today. We were up 2-0 and then shut it down. Hopefully we can rebound for the third game of the series!

Quite a war on the Island. Lots of injuries and ejections and a 3 game suspension.

Good game by the Ducks today against a tough team in the Thrashers. Nice to see Luongo pick up the win and Cammy contribute with an OT winner. Nylander did well for us but this could be his last game.

Jets drop both games vs the Rangers. Bottom line is this team doesn't have any offensive punch. Almost every game we are outshot 2-1 and there have been several games where we don't even hit 20 sog.

Two players go down with injuries and we are still able to stay with a surprising Sens team to get a point out of the game.

New comer Nikita Alexeev was less than settlar in his debut but was
forced to play some 3rd line duties due to the injury to Skraka.

Next up for Panthers are the Canadians and this will be out 5 game in 5 days. Manny will get a rest as he thinks about waving his NTC.

Sabres 4 Flyers 1

After getting a hard fought win on Friday night the Flyers returned to their poor form and lost 4-1 to the Buffalo Sabres. Playing their 5th game in 6 nights the Flyers looked tired out there tonight, but every team has a tough schedule like this during the seaason and the Flyers need to perform better even under the difficult circumstances. The top line continues to produce nothing offensively with Teemu Sellane seeming to be mirroring his vacation in NHL for his CPHL team as well. Gionta and Vishnovsky continued their strong play combining to score the Flyers lone goal.

GM moon had no comment after the game but seemd to be perplexed be his teams lackluster performance so far this season.

The Flyers will have to regroup to prepare for another game tomorrow night and will be without another center as Peter Schaefer is out day to day. He did a good job filling in for the injured Andy Mcdonald and it will interesting to see how the team lines up with two of its center out with injury.

Farm Report:

Things are not any better for the AHL team in Philly as the Phantoms lost again by a score of 9-2. It seems that the offense has quickly dried up down on the farm and now without 10+ goals of support the poor goaltending is becoming a problem.

Hard fought win against the Canucks that cost us quite a bit in players condition. Lots of penalties taken again but no goals scored against on the PK this time, instead the game winner was scored 4 seconds into overtime by Kotalik while killing a penalty that had been given to Suter with 1:46 remaining in the 3rd period. With that bit of information it's obvious we were lucky to escape with a tie, let alone an overtime win.

Last game of this 7 day stint is played later today versus New Jersey and then a much needed rest will be in store for our guys. Only one day though, then it's back at her!

Nice win for the Isles to get back on track after having their four game winning streak snapped the day before.

Hedberg got the start to give Ward the rest and picks up his first victory of the season. Semin, Getzlaf, and Demitra all had a goal and an assist, but Getzlaf ended up leaving the game after Matt Smaby's BRUTAL hook from behind which sent Getzer head first into the boards... Smaby has been handed a 3-game suspension from the league while Getzlaf is looking at probably sitting out for the next week recovering.
