I had the SIM crash on me a couple times, please take a look and make sure your schedule and game results are correct.

Blues blow a 6-1 lead and allow the Canucks back into the game. Nilson lead the way with 2 G and 1A. Emery has looked shaky in his past two games allowing 5 goals on 20 shots. Sanford comes in and allows 1 goal on 15 shots.

On the plus side, Worcester hammered Manitoba 17-0

Another good game from the second line despite Hatcher going down with an injury in the 1st period. League wide +/- Bruins own the top 4

+/-

GP +/-
C.BROWN (BRU) 10 12
D.HATCHER (BRU) 10 10
G.METROPOLIT (BRU) 10 10
*L.KUKKONEN (BRU) 10 10

Souray finally is back up to a 96 CD which is great cause now Hatcher it out with an 85 CD.

Oilers out shot the stars 41-19 in this game. Stars were lucky that this was brodeurs off night and scored 5 goals. Also the Oilers have won 5 in a row and face the Capitals tomorrow.

Wild Win! And some of our big guns actually show up. Though if someone spots Joe Sakic please tell him he's wanted back in Minny.

Bouwmeester injured - that's gonna help his trade value for sure!

Outshot 39-23, the Sharks were down 3-0 going into the 3rd before we made a game of it and scored a couple to make it close, but it was too little too late as the newly aquired Maxim Afinogenov finished us off with 41 seconds remaining to make it a 4-2 game on a short handed goal.

Special teams was the name of the game today with the Sharks going 0 for 3 on the PP and giving up the late short hander and the Wild going 2 for 8 on their PP chances. Sharks have played very undisciplined so far this season, giving up the 5th most penalty minutes per game at 22.8 M/G. That's far too many and our PK just isn't strong enough to fend off that much time being a man down every game.

Positives to take out of this is Kotalik and Johnsson hooking up for a goal in their first game as Sharks and both being +1 on the night despite the loss. Budaj also played another strong game but he can't do everything, the team needs to help out on their end too.

A couple injuries to report out of this one as well as the Wild's highly sought after and new kid "on the block", Jay Bouwmeester, is out with a day-to-day injury and the Sharks leading PKer Dean McAmmond is out for at least 5 days with what's being called an "upper body injury". Unfortunately for the Sharks, they will play a game on every one of those five days so this could hurt our already struggling PK.

After losing to the defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Sharks will now host the new and improved Cup Finalist from last year as Joe Thornton and the Pittsburgh Penguins visit San Jose. We're hoping having come from an ugly "steel" city like Pittsburgh, the Pens will be enjoying the wonderful weather and beautiful scenery so much they lose focus on why they came to California. That, and they continue to struggle for at least one more game before righting their ship.

Avs were concerned about goaltending and D this season but it turns out it's scoring that has been the challenge. Nonetheless, we'll take the two points and are pleased to be back at .500. Sturm has been a nice addition and Yashin is starting to click. Some line changes made prior to this game vs the Leafs seem to have been effective. Huet is playing very strong in net.

The Predators scraped by again. Its pretty disappointing with the fire power that we have that we can either score or hold the other team down, but not both!

Next up the high flying Jets come to town...hopefully we can put together a solid game for a change.

Default Yip! Dogs Neutered

Yip! Dogs Neutered in the Desert

Glendale, AZ - The Los Angeles Kings put in a terrific road performance to neuter the Coyotes in the desert by a score of 4-2. The win comes with elite sniper Martin Havlat still on the injured reserved, but the Kings were able to find the offence they needed in order to overcome the brash Desert Dogs.

"Well we heard that they actually picked themselves to win this game the day before" said Kings coach Mike Keenan with a wide smile. "That just served to motivate us for this game and to put out the performance needed in order to silence them. I guess if their GM could actually predict something he would have won the lottery by now. Their side seemed a little cocky before the game. It didn't seem to be the case during the game however. You can consider the dogs neutered tonight!". After nearly 10 minutes of laughter at this comment throughout the dressing room, Coach Keenan addressed the play during the game.

When asked about the injuries coming into the game, Coach Keenan remarked "We didn't have Havlat and they didn't have Sundin. I think it evens out in the end. It is just a credit to the team that we were able to put a lot of shots on net, create traffic and see some goals go in. They are a great club and it is always difficult to win on the road but we were the better team tonight and I am proud of the guys and their play. We have a very difficult game against the Canadiens coming up and we need to refocus in order to remain competitive."

Notes: The game marked a few firsts for Kings players. Brent Seabrook recorded his first ever goal as a King with newly acquired Matt Bradley adding his first point as a King on the play.
