The Sharks and Predators hooked up for a deal today and before Pittsburgh announces their BIG one we thought it best to get everyone warmed up with something on a slightly lesser scale.

We were kind of looking for a better #1 Dman, and although Modry has more points then Johnsson we're confident he will play a big role for us on both the PP and PK. Kotalik will likely slot in on the 2nd line which will put Tucker up to line 1 although they may share those duties.

We wish the Slav brothers the best of luck with their new team and thank the Preds GM, Victor, for the relatively easy and friendly negotiations.

This was a tough deal to make in the sense that we hate parting with Johnsson! That being said we wanted to upgrade Kotalik to try to get more production from Naslund...who has been average at best to date.

Modry should fit in well on our defence and will hopefully provide some help on the power play as well. The main purpose here was to shake things up a bit and spur some of our supposed top players to play like top players!
