Accu-Pass VS. Ultimate Passer

Just wondering if anyone here has used either, if so what did you think?

I go out to the outdoor rink quite often by myself in the Winter, one of these would be great.

Great ideas, ingenious but not something you would have to buy I think.

You could probably make one for yourself.

The Ultimate Passer video clip is neat. I think it would be funny to see two of the machines passing to one another, for some reason. Or maybe a ring of them around the net, for goalie practice with shots coming from all kinds of angles and passes.

Or having something like this running around the perimeter of a rink, for that matter.

It looked like Primeau was pretty light with the wieght he put on the puck... I wonder if it can take much more without moving...

In fact I think both would be problematic if you tried to up the speed and wieght of the passes... they sit on ice after all... how are they secured I wonder.

You could probably make one for yourself.

Absolutely, and I could also make myself an aluminum baseball bat or skate blades if I had a machine shop and a bunch of material.

Seriously, who wants to waste time trying to make some peice of junk yourself. These guys have done all the R&D, it works and they sell for ~$150.

You can see the AccuPass sliding a bit in the vid, you'd probably have to reposition it every 10th hard pass or so. The Ultimate Pass has quite a bit of weight to it, picked it up myself. Maybe 35 lbs, plus there are spikes you screw into the bottom.

Now that I think about it, probably go with the latter.
