Default Travelling with toddlers - car seats?
So we're off to disneyland in the spring with a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

Just occured to my wife that we'll have no car seats once we arrive. What happens then? The kids go commando, so to speak?

I know some people here travel with their toddlers, so how have you done it?

Any suggestions?

I believe car seats are available for rent at the car rental outlets.

Yeah when we travel the car rental companies have had car seats, though you have to call ahead and book them.

Another option is to take your own, just wrap it in a big plastic bag and check it.

We took car seats, stollers and a playpen on our last flight but, my god, what a lot of crap to haul around... I felt like a roadie for a toddler rock band.

I always checked the car seat when we took an airplane. Not to big of a deal.

So we could take two carseats as the kids luggage I guess.

Has anyone used them in a cab, or rental cars only?
